I’m Sigrun, a self-taught artist and I love to work with watercolour and acrylic. Since I was a child I was drawing animals and it filled most of my free time. I was raised to respect, love and appreciate nature. Although art was my favourite subject at school I educate with a master degree in animal husbandry. The love for art was strong, so after a long pause I started up again.
My first project was about endangered birds in Europe and Norway, and is still ongoing. My paintings are illustration-like portraits. My intention is to show colours and features as realistic and lifelike as possible without missing the artistic touch.
